The Art of Group Coaching - 5 Weeks
With Supervisors Marie Faire & Julie Cremoux
Group coaching is a unique art. It’s not simply one-to-many coaching. It’s about creating a container where individuals feel seen, supported, and connected, not only by the coach, but by each other. It requires the ability to hold multiple voices at once, notice what is happening beneath the surface, and guide conversations in a way that supports both the individual and the group as a whole.
This 5-week pilot program is designed for coaches who are currently in supervision and are curious about moving into group coaching and strengthening their facilitation skills. It offers a grounded, experiential introduction to working with groups, blending theory, live demonstrations, reflection, and practice.
Participants will explore what it truly means to facilitate groups, how your presence and energy shape the group experience, and how group dynamics can create powerful moments of insight, belonging, and transformation. In group settings, clients often discover that their challenges and breakthroughs are shared, and this collective experience can unlock growth. To support depth of learning and meaningful participation, this program will be kept intentionally intimate. We will be accepting up to 12 coaches only, allowing space for connection, observation, feedback, and real-time learning within the group.

5 Weeks
Week 1: Foundations of Group Coaching
This first week focuses on how to intentionally begin group work. We’ll explore who is in the room, clarify outcomes, and establish clear ground rules that support safety, inclusion, and belonging. You’ll learn about the stages of group development, group process, and how to create a strong container through thoughtful logistics and structure. By the end of the session, you’ll understand what it takes to set groups up for success from the very start.
Week 2: Designing Powerful Group Experiences
In Week 2, we dive into the design and structure of effective group coaching. Through live demonstration and discussion, we’ll explore what makes a great group facilitator and coach, including sensory acuity in groups and how to read the room. You’ll deepen your understanding of facilitator responsibility, ethical boundaries, group dynamics, and group functions, helping you lead with clarity, presence, and confidence.
Week 3: Navigating Challenges with Confidence
This week focuses on the inevitable challenges that arise in group settings. We’ll explore common roles that show up in groups, dynamics such as the Drama Triangle, and how shame can impact individuals and the collective. You’ll learn how to respond skillfully when things feel messy, and we’ll normalize imperfection by acknowledging that “you will get it wrong sometimes.” This session builds resilience, self-trust, and confidence in managing complexity.
Week 4: Practice, Presence, and Feedback
Week 4 is dedicated to practice. You’ll have the opportunity to step into facilitation, observe others, receive feedback, and ask questions in a supportive learning environment. This session is about building confidence through experience, refining your presence as a facilitator, and integrating what you’ve learned so far.
Week 5: Meaningful Endings and Integration
The final week focuses on the importance of endings in group coaching. We’ll explore how to bring groups to a thoughtful close, support reflection and integration, and honor the journey participants have taken together. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for closure as a key part of ethical, effective group facilitation, and clarity on how to carry these skills into your future group work.
